There are many ways you can support the ESGVJCC:
Cash Donation
The Community Center is accepting cash donations of any amount.
Every little bit helps and it also adds up! Many of our members have pledged $500, $1000, and more to ESGVJCC! You can fulfill the pledge in 2-3 years. Some members have done $25 per month, $50 per month, or even $100 per month. To make a cash donation to the ESGVJCC, please click here.
Credit Card
The Community Center is now accepting credit card donations.
Bring your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover into the Center Office to make a new donation, complete a pledge, or even start a new pledge. To make your credit card donation online, please click here.
Cell Phone
The ESGVJCC is now part of a national program designed to remove used cell phones from the county’s environment while directly benefiting our organization. So now you can donate your old cell phone and the ESGVJCC will receive $$$$.
Donation boxes are located in the Gym Breezeway and the Sugimoto Family Social Hall. You cano drop off your old cell phones at the ESGVJCC Office.
While you Work
If your company is affiliated with United Way, you can choose to designate your donation to go to the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center. Our United Way Account# is 1745959.
Matching Donations
Some companies will match donations to the ESGVJCC. Please see the list below for companies that offer matching donations. If you company is on this list, please contact the department in charge of Charitable Giving for more details.
While Online
Go to smile.amazon.com to donate 0.05% of the price of your AmazonSmile purchases to ESGVJCC.
In the “Or pick your own charitable organization” box, type “East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center” in the search box. Then select and continue using smile.amazon.com to make purchases.
If you sell many items on eBay, you can choose to donate anywhere from 10% to 100% of your final sale to the ESGVJCC. Look for “eBay Giving Works” in the Sell Your Item form. “Select a new nonprofit” type “East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center” in the “nonprofit name or Keyword” field. Then select the percentage 10%- 100%
Your old car
The ESGVJCC is still accepting all car donations.
Your car doesn’t even have to run, the towing company will come to you, and it can be a great tax-incentive for you. To donate your car to the ESGVJCC, please contact the ESGVJCC Office at (626) 960-2566. To download the donation form, please click here.
In-kind Donations
In order to reduce the ESGVJCC’s operating expenses, we are requesting your assistance by donating various office and maintenance supplies. Please click here to view our Wish List.
Ralphs Community Rewards
1. Create a Digital Account
A digital account is needed to participate in Ralph’s Community Contribution Program. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.
2. Link your Rewards Card to the ESGVJCC
Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Ralph’s Community Contribution Program selection on your digital account.
1. Sign in to your digital account.
2. Search for your organization here.
3. Enter the name or NPO number of the organization you wish to support.
4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Your selected organization will also display in the Ralph’s Community Contribution Program section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Ralphs donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Ralph’s Community Contribution Program organizations.
